EASE comes with several utility programs to do operations that allow you to perform configuration and maintenance on your EASE system.  The following is a list of some of them:

WORD-PROCESSING INTERFACE: This feature prepares membership and contribution data for use with the "mail merge" feature of your word-processor to generate reports of your own design, or to create personalized letters.  You can even pre-select this information based on your membership's dates and categories.

SPREADSHEET INTERFACE: The EASE accounting data can be prepared for use with the "File Import" feature of Lotus 1-2-3 or a similar type of spreadsheet.  You simply designate which aspects of your Ledger you would like to work with in the spreadsheet.

PASSWORD PROTECTION: If your computer will be used by more than one person, you may assign passwords to any or all of the EASE modules, so that a user must know the correct password to get into the system.  You can change the password as frequently as you like, but only if you know the present password.  A person has 3 attempts to enter the correct password, but if he fails, EASE assumes he is an interloper and closes down.

PRINTER SETUP: EASE works with any DOS-compatible ASCII printer - impact, inkjet or laser.  You can sepecify up to 4 different printers to use with EASE.  In addition, if you have a printer that isn't in the supplied printer definition table, you can easily add your own printer definitiions.

ON-SCREEN BROWSING: You may "browse" through your data using any of the EASE modules.  Using the Accounting Module, your General Ledger can be displayed on the computer screen so you do not have to print a report to examine each account's activity.  Each ledger account appears on the screen by itself showing for all 12 months: debits, credits, actual, budget and the year-to-date balance.  You can also examine your detailed transactions on the screen, even limiting your perusal to those transactions made against a specific account if desired.

Using the Membership Module, you may browse through families and individuals, alphabetically or by member number.  Using the Contributions Module, you may browse through your contributors by last name, contribution number or member number.

COMMAND KEY HELP: Through the use of command keys, you will never be uncertain of what your options are.  Every data entry screen contains an Instruction Bar at the bottom of the screen showing what keys can be used and the function of each key.  For example, the F2 key may say "Add Member" while the <PgDn> key may say "Next Name".

ON-SCREEN HELP: If you do not know what a given procedure will do, you can press the F1 key to display a helpful explanation of what the procedure does.

Additionally, if you forget account numbers, member categories, contributor and member reference numbers or other numbers right at the moment you are asked to provide them, EASE lets you view your master lists on the screen with the press of a key.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: EASE runs on any IBM or fully IBM-compatible PC.  EASE runs under either MS-DOS or Windows, needing only 480K of available Conventional memory and 10 Mb of hard disk space!  A limited memory version of EASE is available if needed, requiring only 185K of memory.

SYSTEM SUPPORT: A vitally important factor of any software program is support, that is the ability to ask for help if they get stuck.  I have an excellent reputation for responsive, quality support that you can use free of charge for the first 45 days you have the EASE program.
